About RASHEE
RASHEE is a story that unfolded when two dreamers dreamt of hand finished seams in silk and weaves in rustic Indian colors. Combining passion and purpose, RASHEE brings to you clothes that are comfortably boho-chic.
RASHEE integrates Modern silhouettes with traditional embroideries, motifs and weaves. Our designs proudly showcase the rich textile heritage of various Indian states.
Each garment has a story. Fabrics and yarns intermingle to sing a song and tell their own tale. They embody and share the process and journey they went through to bring out each and every crease and fall.
What happens when boho meets chic? When east meets west? And folk wear gets an everyday twist? You get RASHEE !

The Dreamers behind RASHEE
Sheela - The Bohemian One: Sheela graduated as a computer engineer and worked as a network design engineer until she found her calling in being an artist. Her journey in Art and Creativity began in early childhood. Being trained in Bharatanatyam, she learnt to appreciate the beautiful clothes and expressions of the dancers. Her favorite childhood toy was her mother's sewing machine. It was this toy that helped her create her first garment at the age of 14.
Since sketches came more naturally to her than words, her imaginative patterns made her a difficult yet sought after customer for her tailors. She is passionate about painting and is inspired by spiritual art and god forms. Sheela's passion for art has now become her purpose and RASHEE is the most recent milestone in her artistic journey.
Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sheela lives with her husband and two children.
Rachna - The Chic One : Rachna is better known as a girl who went on to study finance and work in MNC's and banks to finally find her calling in clothes. A Delhi girl who was terribly shy and awkward; but all that changed when she lived in Mumbai, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Her globetrotting and exposure to a variety of clothes and cultures fueled her imagination and inspired her. Along her journey in finding herself, she was fortunate to meet designers and see their units and workshops up close. This inspired her to bring her own creativity to the fore and ultimately manifested as her passion to do clothes.
She lives in Kuala Lumpur, with her husband, two sons and their cat Alice. For her, RASHEE is a journey and it choose her to be a part of it. She loves every step of this journey and is inspired to share each and every moment with you.
